Hello Mustafa Bin Kassim, Thank you for your review and for expressing interest in the Honda CB1000R ABS 2016 (New). The braking system on this bike is fitted with Dual 320mm front discs with Nissin four-piston radial calipers and a single 256mm rear disc with a Nissin single-piston caliper. The addition of ABS ensures improved control and stable braking in various conditions, including rainy weather. However, it’s always important to realize that weather conditions can affect overall traction, so extra caution should be taken when riding in the rain regardless of the braking system.

Hi Chen Li, thanks for your review! For optimal performance, we recommend using the standard tires specified in the product description: Front Tyre – 120/70 ZR17 and Rear Tyre – 190/50 ZR17. As for servicing, typically a bike like the Honda CB1000R should be serviced every 4,000 to 6,000 miles, or every 6 months, whichever comes first. But this is a general guideline and the frequency can depend on how often and how aggressively you ride. Please refer to the bike’s manual for the most accurate information. Stay safe on the roads!

Is the 999cc engine of this road bike intimidating for a new rider? Also, can you provide recommendations for the maintenance schedule?

    • Jacki says:

Hi Faiq Bin Hassan, thank you for your question. The 999cc engine on the Honda CB1000R ABS 2016 is indeed powerful, but its smooth power delivery makes it manageable for new riders. As for maintenance, it is generally recommended to do oil changes every 4000 miles or 6 months, check cable and chain tension every 500 miles or monthly, and inspect brake pads and fluid every 5000 miles or once a year. However, these intervals could vary depending on how you ride the bike. It is best to check the owner’s manual for specific guidelines. Please remember regular maintenance is key to keep your bike in top performance. Let us know if you have more questions.

Dear Aiden Tan, thank you for your inquiry. The Honda CB1000R ABS 2016 typically operates efficiently on regular unleaded gas but do refer to your user manual for specific recommendations. Regarding wet conditions, the ABS braking system should provide an extra level of safety and control for the rider during potentially slippery conditions. As with any vehicle, though, exercise caution when riding in adverse weather conditions to ensure safety. Please do not hesitate to reach out again if you have further questions.
