This new machine, certainly exceeded my expectations with its incredible top speed and excellent braking system. The engine capacity is also remarkable. Its durability and smooth 5-speed transmission make it an absolute joy to ride. However, I noted a bit of sluggishness when changing gears. Overall, an impressive machine.
Wei Ming –
My concerns are about the dry weight of the bike. A weight of 112 kg seems to be on the higher side for a road bike. Can you shed more light on this? Also, the fuel consumption mentioned seems pretty good but how does this hold up in real-world conditions?
Jacki –
Dear Wei Ming, thank you for leaving a review which reveals your inquisitive nature. The dry weight of the Yamaha YBR125 is indeed 112kg. This is because while ensuring the bike is sturdy & reliable, it is also light enough to offer an excellent power-to-weight ratio which makes it very manageable, particularly for novice riders. As for fuel consumption, the figures provided are indeed encouraging and are based on Yamaha’s testing parameters. However, real-world figures may vary depending largely on riding style, terrain and load, among other factors. Hence, it is encouraged to maintain a conservative riding style to obtain the best fuel efficiency. It would be a delight to further discuss any concerns you might have.

Loving how well built this bike is, certainly a good value-for-money investment. The engine is impressive and certainly more than capable of delivering power for daily commutes and leisure rides. Can confidently say that it’s one of my best purchases.
John Lim –
I am thinking of buying this bike for my daily commute to work. However, the seat height of 785 mm seems a bit high for me. Can this be adjusted? Also, are there other colors available?

Impressive design, superior performance, and great fuel efficiency, this beast is a delight to ride. Comparing it with similar bikes I’ve used before, this one tops the list. In terms of quality and performance, definitely a good investment. Would highly recommend.
Alex Cheong –
I’m interested in the bike, particularly the 100 km/h top speed. Is this without a load or with a rider? Also, the fuel capacity of 12 liters seems sufficient but how many hours of riding would that translate to?
Dee Lee –
Hello Alex Cheong, thank you for your interest in our Yamaha YBR125 Non ABS 2015. The stated top speed of 100 km/h is generally tested without load, but bear in mind that the actual top speed can be influenced by various factors including rider weight, terrain, and weather. As for the fuel capacity, the stated 12 liters and its fuel consumption of 2.1 liters per 100km translates to approximately 570 km of riding before needing to refill assuming constant and optimal conditions. This distance, of course, can vary based on riding style and conditions. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions.
